A running joke during my time at the casino was the stupidity that went along with being hired on in the marketing department.  The department was given what seemed like an unlimited budget to use on different schemes. This makes sense because, after all they are the ones that bring in the business right? Well that may be but sometimes the strategies were a bit unorthodox.

 

Picture this: It’s a sunny day in mid-July like most other mid-july days.  You are driving down one of the busiest highways in the city when you see someone that appears to be a “lady of the night” holding a sign that states, “if you want a good time you need to go to the casino.”  Your children (in the backseat) see the woman and ask why she is dressed that way; they also ask what good time will come to you if you go to the casino…

 

What occurred: Simply speaking, the casino hired a modeling agency to dress as hookers, stand in front of the casino, and advertise them with raunchy double entendres.
