At the casino, we had a contracted company that would do all of the cleanings for us.  This included everything from cleaning and polishing to deep cleanings of all areas (minus the parking garage).  One night while I was looking around the casino I noticed that the bars looked significantly cleaner. The bar tops were made of marble so they were nicer to begin with, but still the shine this particular evening was nothing I had seen before.  For the first time since I had started there I was impressed with their cleaning. I turned the corner and immediately saw why.

The cleaning crew was completely decked out in cleaning clothes and boots.  They were standing on the top of one of the bar counters with an industrial strength buffer going to town.  There were no safeguards or protections in place. They were buffing near inches from the shoulders and heads of passers-by.

There is no gruesome or terrible outcome to this story merely just sharing how oblivious others can be when conducting what may have seemed like a good idea at the time…
